Tiny Homes Now Available Using 3D Printing

Well….for those people who thought 3D printing was a gimmicky and or wouldn’t be able to impact manufacturing at scale…maybe this will change your mind slightly. A company called Apis Cor (based in San Fran) recently undertook the challenge of building a single dwelling home in less than 24 hours. And what’s killer is that they did it all using 3D printing technology, no existing structure and no prefabrication of parts. They literally printed the walls, partitions and building exterior using 3D printing…just add paint, roofing materials and wiring and you have a 400 square foot home ready for occupancy.

If I was a building contractor and or lumber manufacturer, I might start to scratch my head at the potential of this technology.
